Physical Conditions
In the South East of the continents, the continent of Sidhe Crann was formed when the lands of Terra Bayou broke apart during the seismic shifts of Enola Rapture. Out of the two new continents, Side Crann was born from the land that established itself above the sea level.
Sidhe Crann is comfortably wooded with areas of openings for the sun to shine on natural crops; and woodland with moss covering the ground. Sidhe Crann experiences a temperature akin to Spring on a continual basis thus there is never a cold evening that can’t be tolerated.
Homes and buildings are very open in nature due to the climate and to allow the inhabitants to be as close to the natural elements as possible. They are a far cry from the Sidhe the continent is named after and have progressed to established structures made out of natural materials
Sapient Species
Sidhe Yunine [ shee yoo-nain ]
There is one sapient specie of Sidhe Crann, the Sidhe Yunine with three lineages on the continent; The Drenesh, the Lluneane and the self declared Honourable Rí Amak.
All species resemble what could be mistaken for Elves and Fairies, and as gender does not exist in Sidhe Crann the appearance and clothing style of each is influenced by their personal preference and lineage. It is believed that this lineage of the Yunine were created when the spirits from Starlantis were dispelled from the heavenly ether to the land below during the Enola Rapture.
Religion holds no importance in their lives and, if anything, has made them more independent thinkers, however they do hold an air of superiority due to their perceived origins. The people of Sidhe Crann are moderately spiritual however, and have special rituals and ancient traditions.
Due to a genetic defect, there is no way a Drenesh and a Lluneane can bare a child so the lines of genetics are kept direct. This wouldn’t stop lineages from forming a bond however and it is common for Yunine who do not wish to have offspring to unite with one or more of the opposite lineages.
The Honourable Ri Amak however do not bond outside their lineage and asexually reproduce prior to death.
Drenesh [ drenn-esh ]
Yunine that inhabit the dawn and the day, the Drenesh embody the particles of light, glowing with a golden hue from within their many-coloured skin tones. They are tasked with managing the daily activities such as farming, general maintenance and labor as well as the cooking duties. They are hard workers and masters of their crafts. They are well respected in Sidhe Crann as it’s understood without their specialties the community would come to a halt. They are diurnal in nature, however will stay up to socialise when the days activities are complete.
Lluneane [ lune-ain ]
Yunine that inhabit the dusk and the night, the Lluneane harness the darkness of the shadows while certain glowing elements of their biology help illuminate their way until the sun rises. Nocturnal in nature, the Lluneane still wake up early to participate in the celebrations of light or stay awake past the dawn. The Lluneane provide the fair governance of Sidhe Crann, ensuring each element of the society is running without conflict. The Lluneane work hard to maintain political balance and are also in charge of negotiating any trade between the territories.
The Head of State
Sidhe Crann is a Monarchy (of a self declared lineage). The head of Sidhe Crann is the Honourable Rí Vulen Amak. Just as is with magic, the leadership power is bestowed when one life ends and a new one begins. It is for this reason the Ri Vulen believe they are the direct descendants of The Ancient Pintina.
The bloodline of the Rí Amak is the only lineage that contains the duality of genetics from Drenesh and Lluneane equally. It’s for this reason, the lineage of the Rí Amak have been (forcefully) bestowed dominion over the continent, and only a limited few of the lineage are alive at any one time.
Ri Vulen Amak is always accompanied by their sibling Ni Zalar Amak who is next in line for the leadership should anything unfortunate happen.
