Our Inclusion Policy

The Goblin Ball Values for Inclusion

At The Goblin Ball, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all attendees. Diversity in all its forms enriches our experiences and strengthens our community. To ensure that everyone feels respected, valued, and safe, we have established the following inclusion guidelines:


Non-Discrimination Policy:


  • We welcome individuals of all races, ethnicities, genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, abilities, and ages.
  • Discrimination, harassment, or bigotry against any attendee will not be tolerated. Every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.


Gender and Identity Affirmation:


  • Attendees are encouraged to express their gender identity freely and comfortably. Restrooms and facilities will be accessible based on personal gender identity, and gender-neutral bathrooms will be available where possible.
  • Pronouns and chosen names will be honoured and respected. Attendees are encouraged to share their preferred pronouns.


Religious and Cultural Sensitivity:


  • We recognise and respect diverse religious beliefs and cultural practices. Attendees are encouraged to express their cultural identities through their attire and behaviour.
  • Any form of religious or cultural intolerance will not be tolerated.


Accessibility and Accommodations:


  • We are committed to providing a safe and accessible environment for all attendees, regardless of physical abilities or disabilities.
  • Please inform the event organisers if any specific accommodations or assistance are required.


Reporting Incidents:


  • Any attendee who experiences or witnesses discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour is encouraged to report it immediately to event staff or organisers.
  • Reports will be handled discreetly, thoughtfully, and with utmost confidentiality. Action will be taken promptly to address and resolve the issue.


Inclusivity Awareness:


  • We encourage all attendees to contribute to a positive and inclusive atmosphere by being respectful, considerate, and understanding towards others.
  • Our event community promotes and supports education and awareness regarding inclusivity and diversity.


Performer Interaction:


  • While interacting with the performers, it's important not to touch or abuse performers.
  • Unwanted touching or abuse will be met with a warning, and lack of compliance will lead to removal from the venue.


Continuous Improvement:


  • We value our attendees’ feedback and suggestions on improving inclusivity and diversity at our events. Your input helps us create a better and more welcoming environment for all.


All participants agree to abide by these inclusion guidelines by attending the Goblin Ball. We are dedicated to upholding these values and fostering an environment where everyone feels valued, included, and able to enjoy the event to the fullest extent possible. Together, let's celebrate diversity and create unforgettable experiences for all.


Those not adhering to the above may risk being removed from the event. No refund is provided to those removed for not adhering to the above values.

Our Terms and Conditions

The Goblin Ball Terms and Conditions

Event Participation:


  • Participants acknowledge and agree to abide by all event rules and guidelines by attending this event.
  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older to attend.
  • All guests must adhere to the code of conduct as outlined above
  • All guests understand that they may be photographed or filmed during the course of the event and that these images may be used for future marketing purposes and inclusion into any photo books or artwork created by The Goblin Ball.


Dress Code and Costumes:


  • All attendees are encouraged to dress in fantasy-themed attire or costumes.
  • Costumes should be respectful and appropriate for a diverse audience.
  • While we encourage creativity, seeking inspiration from fantasy and avoiding cultural appropriation where possible is paramount to a successful night.


Conduct and Behavior:


  • Respectful and courteous behaviour towards fellow attendees, event staff, and the venue is mandatory.
  • Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour will result in immediate removal from the event.


Alcohol and Substance Use:


  • Attendees must comply with the alcohol and substance regulations set by the event venue.
  • Intoxicated individuals will be denied entry or asked to leave the event premises.


Photography and Media:


  • Photography and videography are permitted but should respect the privacy of other attendees.
  • Participants grant permission for their likeness to be used in event-related promotional materials.


Liability and Responsibility:


  • The event organisers hold no responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
  • Attendees assume all risks associated with their participation in the event.


Changes and Cancellations:


  • The organisers reserve the right to modify event details or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • In the event of cancellation or modification, those wishing to seek a refund can do so depending on the announced contact information or transfer their ticket to another event where possible.


Ticket Reselling:


  • Tickets are nonrefundable due to personal changes in plans, unavailability or change of mind.
  • Due to a rise in scams, attendees wishing to resell their tickets must do so through approved channels as authorised by the event organisers.
  • The organisers hold the authority to recognise and approve ticket transfers or resales on a case-by-case basis. Please email vincentprize@icloud.com if you need to sell your tickets.
  • The Goblin Ball is not responsible for selling your tickets, and in the event, that the Goblin Ball is not sold out, The Goblin Ball reserves the right to continue to promote and sell tickets through advertising channels without consulting or considering your request (e.g. we will continue to run advertising even though you have a ticket to sell).
  • Tickets for sale will be advertised on The Goblins of The Goblin Ball Facebook group but can also be confirmed by email should a transfer be needed.


Event Access and Admission:


  • Entry to the event is subject to presale ticket availability and adherence to event regulations.
  • Organisers retain the right to deny admission or remove attendees who do not comply with the terms and conditions and the inclusion policy.
  • Refunds will not be provided to those who are removed
  • Compliance with the Venues terms and conditions is imperative, and those not complying may be  removed at the Venues discretion.


Indemnification:


  • Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the event organizers from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their attendance at the event.


Agreement to Terms


Participation in the event implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.


By attending the Goblin Ball, participants acknowledge and agree to comply with the above terms and conditions outlined by the event organisers. 


The organisers retain the right to enforce these terms and take appropriate action against individuals found breaching these conditions.
