As Melbourne's longest-running fantasy event The Goblin Ball is inspired by Labyrinth tradition, faerie and goblin mythology, nightmares and dreams. It is a whole night open to those who love dressing up, role-playing, dancing and mysterious merriment.

With a strong tradition of Trinket Trading and allowing guests to impact the history of The Goblin Ball with their choices, this is an evening like no other.

Each year, The Goblin Ball possesses a different theme, bringing mythologies and creatures from various cultures and eras to life. Past themes include frosty ice domains, art deco fire Kingdoms, swampy bayous and starry spiegel tents. Guests are encouraged to wear costumes matching the worlds and explore their imagination in reality for a magical evening where they become the main character in their adventure.

The Goblin Ball takes place in magical venues around Melbourne, transforming into otherworldly realms with stunning decorations, lighting and music. Guests enjoy an evening of entertainment by talented performers such as burlesque, character actors, singers, and more. There are also trinkets, prizes for best dressed, and other surprises throughout the night.
